Russell Dean Scott
November 22, 1929 - February 25, 2019

Russell Dean Scott, 89 of Stinnett, died Monday, February 25, 2019 in Pampa. Services for Russell will be Wednesday, at 2:00 p.m. February 27, at the First United Methodist Church of Stinnett burial will follow at the Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors in Borger. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m.

Russell was born in Enid, Oklahoma to Arthur John Scott and Zuma Vansickle Scott on November 22, 1929. He married Deanna Mae Marietta, on June 7, 1957 in Brush, CO. Scott has lived in Stinnett since 1964. He was a mechanic for Diamond Shamrock for 30 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War. Scott worked all the time, worked on cars, and loved riding his four wheelers and traveling.

Russell is preceded in death by his parents, great grandson Caden Hampton and his sister Wanda Faye Wilkie.

Survivors are his wife Deanna of the home; sons, Carl Scott and wife, Tamra of Stinnett and Johnny Scott and wife, Carolyn of Borger; daughter, RoxAnn Jasper of Stinnett. Russell was blessed with ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one on the way, and one great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Joshua’s Great Things (joshuasgreatthings@gmail.com) or First United Methodist Church of Stinnett.
