*Obituary for F. Ernest
F.E. "Ernest" Brown, 79, of 708 S. Main St. in Skellytown, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.

Services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday in Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with Rev. David Johnson, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Skellytown, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors.

A native of Waco, Mr. Brown was a Skellytown resident for 42 years. He was a retired stillman from Phillips Petroleum Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Skellytown and I.O.O.F.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie; a daughter, Oletha Pugh of Skellytown; three brothers, W.T. of Marble Falls, Texas, Hal of Pampa and Frank of Bandon, Ore.; two grandchidren [sic] and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Elsie Mae Brown, 82, Borger, were at 2 p.m. today at Eternal Light Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Elvis Peck, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Brown died Friday, March 19, 1993 in Golden Plains Community Hospital.

A native of Lawton, Okla., she had been a Borger resident for 51 years. She was a housewife, a lifelong Baptist, and member of Eternal Light Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, F.E. "Ernest" Brown in 1984.

Survivors include a daughter, Oletha Pugh of Borger; a brother, Woodrow Claxton of Neuvo, Calif.; two sisters, Delsie Brown of Granite Shoals; and Jessie Thomas of Plainview; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Walter Hite, Chip Watson, Verlon Brown, Dennis Thomas, Jackie Peck, and Doc Wilkinson.
