STINNETT - Harry Milford Purcell, 74, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1993 in Hansford Hospital in Spearman.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Toby Teague, associate pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Era, he had been a Stinnett resident for 48 years. He was an operator for J.M. Huber Corp. He was a member of Collegeview Baptist Church, and a World War II U.S. Army veteran serving in the 142nd Infantry 36th Division.

He married Opal Mae Stroud in Borger. She died in July, 1992.

Survivors include a son, Greg Purcell of Stinnett; two brothers, Paul Purcell of Houston; and Ray Purcell of Lubbock; three sisters, Bea Lantrip of Gilmer; Mildred White of Borger; and Marvel Ryan of Green River, Utah; and three grandchildren.

STINNETT - Opal Mae Purcell, 72, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 1992 in Hansford Hospital in Spearman.

Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Guymon Okla., she moved to Borger in 1948. She was a retired nurse.

She was a member of Collegeview Baptist Church, and a graduate of Cadet Nurses Corps in 1945 in Clinton, Okla.

Survivors include her husband, Harry of the home; a son, Greg Purcell of Stinnett; her mother, Nellie Stroud of Amarillo; four brothers, C.J. Stroud and Odell Stroud, both of Worland, Wyo.; Paul Stroud of Phoenix, Ariz.; and Darrell Stroud of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Delois Young of Amarillo; and three grandchildren.
