FRITCH - Roy L. Turner, 89, of Fritch died Monday night in Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.

Funeral services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

He was born July 20, 1899 in Indian Territory, and had been an area resident since 1926. He was a retired mail carrier for Phillips Petroleum Company, and a member of the Fritch Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Jim of Lubbock; and Robert of El Centro, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Glass of Roswell, N.M.; four brothers, Stanley Turner of Aransas Pass; Virgil Turner of Ingelside; Thurman Turner of Corpus Christi; and Jack Turner of Abilene; one sister, Jewell Goff of Ingelside; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
