Services for Laura Bell Turner, 73, of Lubbock will be at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006 with Dan Williams and Barry Stephens officiating. Graveside services will follow in Westlawn Cemetery near Borger at 4 p.m.
Laura passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2006 in Lubbock.
She was born Feb. 16, 1933 in Clarksville, Tennessee to the late Alonso and Nellie (Castleberry) Martin. She grew up in Cunningham, Tennessee. She married James F. Turner Nov. 14, 1953, in Corinth, Mississippi. They moved to Borger July 1956 and on to Lubbock, December 1981. She was a homemaker and a member of Monterey Church of Christ.
Three brothers and two sisters precede her in death.
Left to cherish Laura's memory are her husband, James; two sons of Grand Prairie and of Lubbock; one daughter of Borger; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
