*Obituary
Services for W.E. "Ed" Ward, 70, of 102 Dolomita, will be at 10:30 a.m. in the Bunavista Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Lacewell, pastor, officiating. The Rev. Orval Kiddy, pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Eunice, N.M. will assist.

Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Alexander-Simpson Funeral Directors.

Mr. Ward died Wednesday. He was born April 25, 1907 in Lexington, Okla., and lived in Borger since 1943 when he moved here from Wetumka, Okla. He was shift foreman at Plains Plant until his retirement in 1960 after 35 years. He was a member of the Bunavista Baptist Church.

He married Daucy Whisenhunt in 1927 at Tulsa, Okla.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Lloyd of Dallas and James of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Blake of Fritch and Mrs. Geri Goodwin of Pasadena; and nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James and Lanny Ward, Jeff Wakefield, Clarence McDanial, Gary Boyer, Henry Ratliff, Joe Zajicek, and G.L. Harkins.
