*Obituary Carl
Carl Williams, 72, of 1408 Lancelot in Borger, died Wednesday in Golden Plains Community Hospital.

A retired former owner of Bypass Supermarket, he was a native of Posey and a Borger resident for 43 years.

He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Ginger Kozak of Amarillo, Kandy Dickinson of Borger; three sons, Carl Williams Jr. of Pasadena, Jimmy Williams of Borger, Durwood Williams of Houston; four sisters, Mable Welch of Wharton, Olene Thompson of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Jean Duvall of Temple, Ariz., Jerri Nabers of Kohls Ranch, Ariz.; five brothers, Nelse Williams of Lampoc, Calif., Mark Williams of Wellington, Honest Jess Williams of Amarillo, James Williams of Nederdand [sic], Hendricks Williams of Virginia; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his wife, Sally in 1967 and two grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bernie Frazier of Canyon Christian Church in Canyon, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Chapel under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Pall Bearers will be his grandsons, Kerry Manning, Derrell Pierce, J.J. Williams, Jubal Williams, Kelly Langdon and Chat Langdon.

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Virginia Williams, 52, of 300 McCarthy, are scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Thursday from First Baptist Church, the Rev. Phil Stoval, assistant pastor, officiating.

Burial in Westlawn Memorial Park will be directed by Minton Mortuary.

Mrs. Williams was born in Peerless, Texas. She came to Borger in 1944, and was a member of First Baptist Church and Borger Rebekah Lodge. She died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday in North Plains Hospital.

Surviving are the husband, Carl; three sons, Durwood of Borger, Carl Jr. of Houston, Jimmy of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. April Langdon of Borger, Mrs. Virginia Bridges of Dallas.

Two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Barbee of Lindale, Mrs. Joy Johnson of Dallas; five brothers, Miller and Aubrey Dial of Dallas, Durwood Dial of Houston, Bill Dial of Austin, and Eugene Dial of Oklahoma City; and nine grandchildren.
