After Glow
I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when the day is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave behind when the day is done.

BORGER — Shirley Temple Williams, 76, of Borger died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Celebration Family Church with the Rev. Dwight Kirksey officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Ms. Williams was born May 19, 1936, in Roxton to Grover and Mable Lee Sims. She married Elva Lee Williams on June 28, 1952, in Oklahoma.
Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Williams of Houston, Sharon Thorp of Dallas and Modina Smith of Borger; four sons, Don Williams of Dallas, Elva Williams Jr. of Norfolk, Va., and Chester Williams and Daral Williams, both of Borger; three sisters, Florine Wright of Cedar Hill and Mary Jo Henry and Merl Avery, both of Flint, Mich.; a brother, Clonzell Sims of Midland; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
