BORGER - Funeral services for Billy Wayne Wilson, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wilson of Borger, who died from injuries suffered in a two-car collision here Friday night will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Johnson Park Church of Christ.

Young Wilson died about 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo after being transferred from North Plains Hospital in Borger. He was injured in a collision involving a Borger police car and a car driven by Dennis Litterell, 17, son of Mrs. Marie Litterell of Borger. The accident occurred about 8:30 p.m. on Bulldog Road near the football stadium.

Bobby Jay Litterell, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Litterell, was pronounced dead on arrival at North Plains after the two cars were in collision on Bulldog Road near the football stadium about 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Funeral services for young Litterell were conducted this morning in the Johnson Park Church of Christ.

Dennis Litterell,, a cousin of Bobby Jay, was treated for lacerations and released from the hospital.

Borger Chief of Police Arthur Waight Jr., driver of the police vehicle, was treated for lacerations and released Friday night.

Lt. Kent Stephenson, a passenger in the car, was in satisfactory condition today in North Plains with fractures and lacerations. Patrolman Jim Majors also was reported to be in satisfactory condition with a broken back.

Weslie Mickey, minister of the Johnson Park Church of Christ, will officiate at Bobby [sic] Wayne Wilson's funeral. The Rev. Leonard Forsythe of the Bible Baptist Church will assist.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Simpson Funeral Home.

Survivors included his parents and three sisters.

The police car was en route to investigate an alleged shooting when the accident occurred. Another police unit sent to the scene of the shooting reported the crowd had dispersed and that officers could not find a shooting victim.
