BORGER - Frederick E. "Gene" Wilson, 91, died Thursday, May 17, 2001, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Fairlanes Baptist Church with the Rev. Chad Chaddick, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors.
Mr. Wilson was born July 30, 1909, and was a native of Topeka, Kan. He was a bricklayer and a Borger resident for more than 50 years. He was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Wilson, in 1995.
Survivors include two sons, James A. Wilson of Amarillo and Ed Wilson of Haddon Heights, N.J.; one granddaughter Jennifer Scherkenback, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and three great-grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be Ray Jenkins, Harrel Hardy, Gene Sewell, Roscoe Brown, Harry Harbison and Junior Henson.
