*Obituary
Richard C. Cooper, 78 years old, Borger resident for the past fifteen years, died at 10 p.m. last night at his home at 316 West Madison street after a lingering illness of many months.
He leaves to mourn his passing, nine children, 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Survivors are Mrs. L.P. Soape, Idalou; Mrs. O.H. Lemon, Anton; Mrs. J.R. Martin, Marietta, Okla.; Mrs. C.L. Morris, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. R.G. Turk, Borger; V.C. Cooper, Tulsa, Okla.; Jess Cooper, Borger; and C.W. and I.O. Cooper of Portland, Ore.
Funeral services will be held in Carver's funeral home chapel tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev. H.J. West, pastor of the Phillips Baptist church will officiate. Interment will be at Highland cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Trammell, Guy Walters, Joe Chitwood, D.W. Rhodes, Marvin Wallace and Bob Lindsey.
