May 17, 1935 - January 20, 2017

Donna Lee Cooper, age 81, peacefully made her way to heaven on Friday, January 20, 2017.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Monday in Westlawn Memorial Park at Fritch. A celebration of Life service will be at 1:00 PM Monday at Central Church of Christ Chapel with Dickie Haney, son in law, Allan Stanglin, minister, and Rocky Monzingo officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St.

She was a graduate of Memphis High School and attended WTSU, where she met her match in a Shamrock boy named Paul. He taught her to jitterbug and sing Gospel harmonies with his musical family. She was a loving and dedicated wife for 44 years, following Paul from West Texas oilfield camps to the panhandle town of Borger. She moved to Amarillo in 2007.

Donna had a life-long love affair with Cheese Puffs, Pork Skins, onions, murder mysteries and any movie featuring Sylvester Stallone. She was an accomplished piano player and taught lessons for several years. She was a successful AVON lady in an era of no cell phones and a town without doorbells. Though she found her niche working as an executive secretary for Panhandle Bank & Trust in Borger, Texas... without question, her proudest accomplishment in life was Being Mom, MiMi and GranMiMi to her beloved family.

Welcoming her to heaven were her husband Paul, her parents Flora and Oscar Webb, and her sister Betty Bob Monzingo.

Looking forward to seeing her again are her son Dale Cooper and wife Karen; Her daughter Robin Haney and husband Dickie; her son Kelly Cooper and wife Tynetta; The Magnificent Seven, aka her grandsons: Casey (Kristen) Cooper; Luke (Cassie) Haney; Dusty (Heather) Cooper; Jacob Haney; Chad (Taylor) Cooper; Clay (Allison) Cooper; and Justin (Layne) Cooper. Fifteen brilliant great grandchildren as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Everyone will miss her unshakeable faith and legendary sense of humor, which at times were in conflict with one another.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Interim Hospice of Amarillo or to the charity of your choice.
