Funeral services for Derek Knelsen, age 20 of Seminole, Texas will be held Friday, August 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Community Church with Pastor Dave Klassen officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Derek Knelsen was born November 25, 2000 in Denver City, Texas to Annie (Peters) and Henry Knelsen. He was a Christian and worked in construction. He was a hard worker and always had a big heart; he loved his family and friends dearly. He enjoyed playing video games in his spare time.
Derek Knelsen passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021. He is survived by his dad, Henry Knelsen and wife Loretta of Seminole; his mother, Annie Rau and husband Ken of Seminole; three brothers, Dominic Knelsen and wife Amber, Alexander Knelsen, and Logan Rau, all of Seminole; three sisters, McKenzie Knelsen, Austin Knelsen and Savannah Knelsen, all of Seminole; paternal grandparents, Jorge and Katherina Knelsen of Denver City, Texas; and his maternal grandparents, Henry and Margaret Peters of Seminole.
