*Obituary
Funeral services for Anna Knelsen, age 59 of Seminole, Texas will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Colony Mennonite Church with Bishop Peter Janzen officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Knelsen was born in Mexico on November 17, 1962 to Agatha (Friesen) and Issak Loeppky. She married Peter Knelsen in Mexico on March 1, 1992. Anna was a member of Old Colony Mennonite Church and a homemaker. She loved family gatherings, and always made sure to spoil her grandchildren. All children called her Nana, even other children who were not her own grandchildren. She was a kind, loving woman who enjoyed helping others; all you had to do was call her. She always forgave anyone who did her a wrong. Anna enjoyed raising her chickens and quilting; she made a quilt for each of her children and grandchildren. If her son Martin didn't stop by everyday on his way home from work, she would call him to ask, "Where are you?" Before she passed, she told her family how much she would miss her grandchildren.

Anna Knelsen passed away at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas on Friday, October 7, 2022. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Peter in 2010; two grandchildren, one brother, and two sisters. She is survived by two sons, John Knelsen and wife Susie, and Martin Knelsen and wife Elisabeth, both of Seminole, Texas; two daughters, Sara Knelsen and husband Jacob, and Trudy Bergen and husband David, both of Seminole, Texas; three brothers, John Loeppky of Canada, Gerhard Loeppky and wife Katherina of Canada, and Jacob Loeppky and wife Helena of Mexico; three sisters, Agatha Dyck and husband Issak of Canada, Susie Fehr of Canada, and Maria Enns and husband Abe of Seminole, Texas; and five grandchildren.
