Final rites for Clarence M. Sanders, 53, will be conducted here Thursday at 4 o'clock.
Sanders, who had been a resident here for the last 12 years, became ill in Downey, Calif., during his vacation and died Sunday after emergency surgery.
Services will be in the first Baptist church with Dr. Winfred Moore, pastor, and the Rev. Samuel Ogan, of Bunavista, officiating.
Interment will be in the local cemetery under the auspices of the Masons, Isom Lodge 1242 A.F.&A.M. (All lodge members have been asked to meet at the Masonic Temple at 3 p.m. the day of the funeral.)
Sanders was an employee of the Phillips Petroleum company and resided at 101 Frontera street. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Sanders; a son, Bob; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Smith; four brothers, Joe, P.I., Deb and Roy; a sister, Mrs. V.V. David, and six grandchildren.
