Emery Howard Sanders, 81, 831 Bartush, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday in his home in Borger.
A retired welders helper for Phillips Petroleum Company, he was a native of Tedrick, Mo. and a Borger resident since 1948.
He attended Bible Baptist Church, members of the CCC Camps, and married Alta Upshaw in Drury, Mo. on April 18, 1936.
He is survived by his wife, Alta Sanders of the home; one son, Loyd Sanders of Lawton, Okla., two daughters, Shirley Daniels and Vivian "Sandy" Jones, both of Pampa; three sisters, Mildred Shattuck of Oregon, Dorothy Slate of Hanford, Calif., Mildred Slate of Permian, Ark.; a brother, Charlie Sanders of Stillwater, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ada Nilsen in 1988 and a son, Bill Sanders in 1978.
Services are pending with Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

BORGER - Alta A. Sanders, 92, formerly of Borger, died Tuesday, August 23, 2005, in Lawton, Okla.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Sanders was born Jan. 4, 1913, in Tedrick, Mo. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Loyd V. Sanders of Lawton; a brother, Bill McKinley Upshaw of Arkansas City, Kan.; a sister, Normal Sanders of Stillwater, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
