Funeral services for Peter Thiessen, age 68 of Seminole, Texas will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Colony Mennonite Church with Bishop Jacob Giesbrecht officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Thiessen was born in Mexico on March 27, 1954 to Maria (Dyck) and Johan Thiessen. He married Helena (Hildebrandt) September 25, 2005 in Seminole, Texas. He was a member of Old Colony Mennonite Church and worked as a farmer.

Peter Thiessen passed away in Mexico Tuesday, July 19, 2022. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine Thiessen in 2004; one son, and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Helena Thiessen of Mexico; two sons, Pete Thiessen and wife Anna, and Frank Thiessen and wife Lisa, both of Seminole, Texas; one daughter, Annie Peters of Seminole, Texas; two brothers, Johan Thiessen and wife Susan of Mexico, and Isaac Thiessen and wife Helen of Canada; four sisters, Tina Bueckert, Nancy Thiessen, Susan Thiessen, and Eva Rempel and husband Peter, all of Canada; two stepsons, Jorge Hiebert and wife Sara, and Peter Hiebert and wife Annie, both of Seminole, Texas; one stepdaughter, Enni Fehr and husband John of Seminole, Texas; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.
