*Obituary for Earl
Services for Earl Anderson, 75, of 806 Bagwell, were held at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles Thrasher officiated, assisted by Chaplain Edwin Gates, of the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Anderson died Sunday in North Plains Hospital. He had retired after 17 years as a businessman in Phillips.

He was born Oct. 8, 1902 in Erath County, and had been a resident of the Borger area since 1937.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge No. 1355, and of Borger Shrine Club. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Scottish Rite of El Paso, and of Khiva Temple of Amarillo.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, two brothers, a sister, and a grandson.

Pallbearers were Bill Cox, Jeep Webb, Bob Dawson, Ivan Gates, Bill Gates, and Don Gates.

Honorary pallbearers were members of Adult Sunday church.

Interment was in Westlawn Memorial Park by Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors.

Funeral services for Nettie L. Anderson, 86, Borger, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Art McAninch, pastor of Fairlanes Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Anderson died Friday, Nov. 27, 1992 in Hansford Manor in Spearman.

A native of Roosevelt County, N.M., she had been a Borger area resident for 55 years. She was a housewife and former employee with Newell-Ardis.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Phillips Garden Club, Borger Music Club, and Conomour Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Anderson in 1979.

Survivors include a daughter, Sue Haage of Borger; four brothers, Morris Gates of San Antonio; Alvin Gates of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Bill Gates of Eufaula, Okla. and O.H. Gates of Truth of Consequence, N.M.; and a grandson.
