FRITCH - Dwayne Lee Bennett, 76, died Monday, July 12, 2004, in Dumas.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bill Browning, pastor of Broadway Baptist Church in Fritch, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park.

Mr. Bennett was born on April 17, 1928, in Littlefield. He was ordained as a Baptist minister in 1950, serving as pastor of several area churches.

Survivors include three sons, Fate D. Bennett of Fritch, Mark W. Bennett of Tulsa, Okla., and Rex D. Bennett of Austin; a brother, Don Bennett of Fort Stockton; a sister, Ruth Humphrey of Raleigh, N.C.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner St., Pampa, TX 79065.
