James Leon Jackson, 63, of Amarillo died Friday, July 25, 2003.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel in Borger with the Rev. Ricky Griffin, pastor of Grace Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Borger.
Mr. Jackson was born in Webb City, Okla., and came to Borger in 1942. He then moved to Amarillo in 1970. He graduated from Phillips High School in 1957. He went to Brooks Institute of Photography and got a degree in fine arts at Santa Barbara. He was a Baptist. He was the owner of Jackson Insurance Agency in Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Jackson in 1995.
Survivors include his mother, Ada Jackson of Amarillo; two sons, Kenneth Jackson and Craig Jackson and wife, Kelly, all of Amarillo; a daughter, Karen Robertson of Amarillo; a sister, Kay Williams and husband, Sam, of Albuquerque, N.M.; and three grandchildren, Elias Robertson, Megan Jackson and Tanner Jackson, all of Amarillo.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
