Sarah Arlene Phillips, 84, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Minton Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the , 5410 Bell Street #411, Amarillo, TX 79101.
Sarah was born March 9, 1933 in Caldwell, Kansas to Charles Frederick Mercer and Cleda Robley Mercer. She moved to Borger, Texas where she met Arvin Lyle Phillips, her husband of 63 years.
She was known for her love of people, especially children, her oil paintings and crafts, her cooking and her beautiful yard.
She leaves behind her husband, Arvin; three daughters, Jennifer Brown of Fritch, Ruth Young and her husband Mark of Fritch, and Elizabeth Davenport of Amarillo. She also leaves one sister, Valene Watson; six grandsons and thirteen great grandchildren and one due to arrive in October.
She is preceded in death by her son, David Kyle; her parents; one sister; two brothers and one grandson.
