BORGER - R.L. "Luke'' White, 86, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Andrew United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Purl, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.
Mr. White was born in Heidenheimer, and had lived in the Borger area for 58 years. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at the Phillips Refinery and a former salesman for Northwest Insulation Co.
He was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Borger Noon Lions Club.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, in 1992.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph White of Borger and Roy White of San Antonio; two daughters, Judy Weaver of Borger and June Flanagan of Boerne; two brothers, Cecil White of Lubbock and Cleo White of Grand Prairie; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be to Hospice of the Panhandle, 300 S. McGee, Borger, Texas 79007.

Funeral services for Evelyn White, 75, Borger, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jon Nichols, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Mrs. White died Monday, May 4, 1992 in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.
A native of Kinsley, Kan., she had been a Borger resident for 66 years. She was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, Atatheen Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women and Athena Club.
She married Luke White in 1938 at Panhandle.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ralph White of Borger; and Roy White of San Antonio; two daughters, Judy Weaver of Borger; and June Flanagan of Boerne; a sister, Donna Ciaramitaro of Duncan, Okla.; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Howard Brown, Bill Wyatt, Gene Sewell, Nathan White, Joe Don Castleberry, and Edgar Betts.
