Jimmy Lee Mitchell
September 26, 1935 - April 12, 2014

Jimmy Lee Mitchell, 78 of Borger died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Borger. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, April 12th at Highland Park Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Forsythe of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Burial is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Jimmy was born September 26, 1935 in Spur, Texas to Levie L. and Emma Lenora Smart Mitchell. He married Mary Audean Davis July 3, 1952 in Canadian, Texas. He had been a Borger resident for 59 years. He worked as a supervisor for the Texas Highway Department and later became an independent oil producer. He loved to hunt and fish.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Mary. Sons Richard and wife Barbara Mitchell , Ricky Mitchell both of Borger. Brother Bobby Mitchell of Amarillo, Texas. Sisters Betty Mitchell of Colorado City, Texas, Vickie Carver of Spurger, Texas, Shirley Woodland of Lumberton, Texas and Janette Welchel of Claude, Texas. Three Grandchildren Wes Mitchell and wife Bethany of Borger, Kelli Henson and husband Chris of Amarillo, and Tyler Mitchell and wife Crystal of Fritch. Four great grandchildren Cade, Kynlee, Neelie, Cohen and Alex.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers Roy and Alton. Sisters Lenora, Leona and Paulette.
