*Obituary for J.D.
Funeral services for J.D. Mitchell, 69, of 1108 Hedgecoke, are pending with Minton Mortuary.
Mitchell died at 6 a.m. today at St. Anthony's in Amarillo.
He was born May 31, 1905 in Fannon County and had been a resident of Borger since 1944.
He was a retired employee of Davis Chevrolet and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Coye of the home; a son, J.D. Jr. of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Mrs. J.B. Watkins and Mrs. Leon Johnson, both of Borger; three brothers, Bill and John of Pampa and George of Redlands, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. J.N. King and Mrs. Dale Penrod, both of Kingston, Okla., Mrs. Vincil Fritch of Okmulgee, Okla. and Mrs. Bob Talley of Purdy, Mo.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
