Final rites for Morris Sheppard Mitchell, 65, of 134 Arline, are scheduled at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bible Baptist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, officiating. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery will be directed by Minton Mortuary.

Mitchell died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday in North Plains Hospital. He was born in Hopkins County Nov. 8, 1902 and moved to Borger in 1947.

Surviving are the widow, Alpha; two sons, Billy Wayne of Crane, and J.M. of Spring Creek; two daughters, Mrs. Myra Ann Boykin, Dallas, Mrs. Pansy Hill, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Haskill of Sulphur Springs, Willie of Panama, Okla.; sister, Mrs. Cordia Williams, Commerce; and nine grandchildren.

Casketbearers are Buddy Garrett, Dean Garrett, L.B. Garrett, Dub Garrett, June Garrett, and Paul Huff.
