Funeral services for Cornelius "Niel" Loewen,age 22 of Seminole, Texas will be held Thursday, August 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Mennonite Evangelical Church with Pastor Kevin Reimer officiating and Pastor David Fehr assisting. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Cornelius Loewen was born December 8, 1999 in Brownfield, Texas to Sara (Siemens) and Cornelius Loewen. He attended Mennonite Evangelical Church and worked as a truck driver. Growing up, Niel was always a different character and anyone that knew him knew he had a great sense of humor. Niel never took anything in life very seriously and always tried to make people laugh. He loved motorcycles and anything with high speed; he enjoyed trying new stunts. Niel was a perfectionist and had a great love for woodworking. He had the kindest heart and would do anything to help the next person. He loved his family dearly, and especially loved all his niece and nephews. Niel will be greatly missed by his family and many friends of this community.

Cornelius Loewen passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 in Brownfield, Texas due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He is survived by his parents, Cornelius and Sara Loewen; two brothers, Johnny Loewen and wife Susie and Jake Loewen and wife Judy, both of Seminole, Texas; one sister, Nelly Loewen and fiancé Martin Neustater of Seminole, Texas; his niece, Natalie Loewen and two nephews, Johnathan Loewen and Tyler Loewen, all of Seminole, Texas.
