*Obituary

Mr. Loewen was born on May 16, 1955 in Mexico to Helena (Wiens) and Cornelius Loewen. He worked as a farmer and was also an innovative businessman. Frank married Dora Olivas on February 2, 2016 in Eunice, New Mexico, and had lived in Seminole since 1978.

Frank Loewen was a farmer with aspirations to invent. He was an ingenious man who had many clever ideas. He, along with others, invented the peanut cleaner, custom ag trailers, and other things for the farm. He loved owning and tending cattle and often boarded horses, cattle, and other animals, usually at no charge. He had the best hay in the county, which was even recognized by the government, who purchased his hay to feed livestock when there was need. He helped with the meat processing for his family as well as others when he was younger. Frank Loewen started life with very little, but ended his life a successful, self-made businessman.

Frank loved to host cookouts for the 4th of July as well as other occasions. He was a generous man with a big heart who did a lot for many people; he would help the world if it were in his power. His wife can attest to this fact, calling him the best man she has ever known. Frank also had an adventurous streak, as he loved to travel. He even went to France where he ate snails and loved them. One of his greatest joys was playing with his grandchildren and taking them for rides on his ATV.

Frank Loewen passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022 at his residence. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, and two brothers-in-law. He is survived by his wife, Dora of Seminole; two sons, Stephen Loewen of Detroit, Michigan and Christopher Loewen of Seminole; two daughters, Victoria Ehrlich and husband Justin of Eugene, Oregon and Rebecca Loewen of Andrews, Texas; four brothers, Henry Loewen and wife Helena of Mexico, Jacob Loewen and wife Aganetha of Seminole, Johan Loewen and wife Helena of Mexico, and Peter Loewen and wife Mary of Seminole; seven sisters, Anna Enns and husband Isaac of Mexico, Helena Banman and husband Henry of Mexico, Katherina Neustaeter and husband John of Seminole, Aganetha Peters of Seminole, Margarita Klassen and husband Cornelius of Mexico, Agatha Wiebe and husband Peter of Mexico, and Elisabeth Hildebrandt and husband Abraham of Seminole; and two grandchildren.
