Funeral services for Jacob Loewen, age 37 of Seminole, Texas will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Mennonite Evangelical Church with Pastor Jake Fehr officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Loewen was born in Mexico May 27, 1986 to Katharina (Klassen) and Jacob Loewen. He married Maria Guenter in Mexico on September 2, 2007. He was a member of Mennonite Evangelical Church and worked as a truck driver; Jacob loved trucking. He was a very proud father and loving husband, and enjoyed making people laugh. He also enjoyed being around family and barbequing. He never quit anything he set his mind to do.

Jacob Loewen passed away August 22, 2023 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Jacob is preceded in death by his mother, Katharina in 2018; one brother, and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Maria Loewen of Seminole, Texas; three sons, Adrian, Gabriel, and Alejandro Loewen, all of Seminole; two daughters, Sonia and Amelia Loewen, both of Seminole; his father, Jacob Loewen of Mexico; four brothers, John Loewen and wife Anna of Canada, Corney Loewen and wife Lena, and Peter Loewen and wife Anna, both of Mexico, and Poncho Loewen and wife Agatha of Seminole; five sisters, Anna Smith and husband Franz, Katharina Reimer and husband Abram, Judith Braum and husband Peter, and Maria Fehr and husband Joseph, all of Mexico, and Otilia Neufeld and husband John of Canada.
