Obituary for Dennis
Funeral services for D. Devoe Davis, 62, of Borger will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fairlanes Baptist Church with the Rev. Art McAninch, pastor, officiating.
He died Friday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.
A native of Lamar, Okla., he had been a Borger resident for 60 years. He was co-owner of Jay-Dee Producing and DACO, Inc.
He was a member of the Fairlanes Baptist Church, PPROA, director of Serfco of Pampa. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Marine Corp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glover D. Davis in 1981, and Catherine Davis in 1988. His brother, Kenneth Davis died in 1969.
Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; one daughter, Debra Davis of Ada, Okla.; two sons, Doug Davis of Fritch; and Don Davis of Borger; one brother, Travis Davis of Spearman; one sister, Mrs. Robert L. Harper of Amarillo; and three grandchildren.
Donations may be made to McCall's Chapel School for Exceptional Children, Rt. 4, Ada, Okla. 74820, or your favorite charity.
Pallbearers will be Jim Forney, J.B. Watkins, Roy Gurley, Jay Childers, J.W. Snider, Hugh Jackson, and Robert Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers will be the former employees at DACO.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
