FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - The U.S. Army announced today that Pvt. Roger D. Cox, 19, was killed Friday when a 52-ton tank plunged off a small bridge during maneuvers 20 miles east of Frankfurt.

Final rites will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Borger's Pentecostal Holiness Church for Pvt. Roger D. Cox, 19, a former resident of Borger who died on army maneuvers in Germany Dec. 10.
Officiating at final services will be Rev. R.G. Sloan. Military graveside rites will be conducted by members of an Amarillo Air Force Base group.
Burial is scheduled in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Mortuary. Pall bearers will be members of the U.S. Army.
Cox, serving with the Army in Germany, died near Frankfurt, Germany, Dec. 10 when his tank plunged off a small bridge and into a stream, drowning him.
Surviving Cox are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene P. Cox, formerly of Borger, brother Eugene P. Cox Jr. of Perryton; sisters, Mary Ethel Cox of Amarillo, and Carolyn Isman of San Diego; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mayes of Borger, and Mrs. Cora Walters of Cincinnati, Ohio, uncles, James R. Cox, Truman Cox, R.C. Mayes, Jr., all of Borger, A.R. Walters of Cincinnati; and Barbara Brown of Borger.
