BIG SPRING -- Mollie Reid, 74, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, July 29, in a local nursing home. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 1 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Claude Craven officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park Big Spring.

She was born on June 11, 1929, in Sweetwater. She came to Big Spring in 1967 and had worked as a purchasing agent at Malone-Hogan Hospital for a number of years and then worked at Faye's Flowers.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, the Big Spring Art Association, the American Business & Professional Women's Organization, Texas Hospital Association and the Permian Basin Purchasing Society.

Survivors include her son, Larry Smith of Big Spring; three sisters, Jo Sledge and Wanda Jones, both of Big Spring and Sarah Sweeten of California; a nephew and numerous nieces.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, James Roy Smith and Merritt C. Rush; her parents, James A. Kinsey and Vida Kinsey and one brother.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
