Borger News Herald - July 31, 1980

Jerrell Lafette Johnson, 71, of 1300 Potter, died Wednesday in his home.

Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Johnson was a retired electrician, and a 34-year Borger resident.

Survivors include his wife, LoRee; two sons, Gene Johnson of California, and Ronnie Alexander of Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Jaynell Wigley of Fort Worth, Mrs. Yvonne Gordon of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Mrs. Pat Henley of Dallas; and Mrs. Wanda Groves of Perryton; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

LoRee E. Johnson, 81, 1300 Potter, died Wednesday afternoon in St. Anthony's Hospital.

A retired cashier at the Sands Restaurant, she was a native of Glen Rose and a Borger resident for 55 years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Ronnie Alexander of San Antonio; two daughters, Pat Henley of Dallas, and Yvonna Gordon of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Laird Reeves of Spring Valley, Wis., and Orville Reeves of Monahans; one sister, Pauline Duncan of Monahans; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerrell Johnson in 1980 and a daughter, Wanda Groves in 1984.

Funeral services are pending with Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
