Obituary for Edwin
Services for Edwin Ross Jones, 65 of 1408 Herbst were held at 2 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Burleson, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Jones was dead on arrival at North Plains Hospital at 2 p.m. Tuesday following an apparent heart attack.
Survivors include his wife, a son, three brothers, four sisters and five grandchildren.
Casketbearers were E.M. Hooper, A.W. Walker, Vance Bogart, Ed Turner, Pat Davis, Loye Williams, Paul Robinson and L.B. West.

FREER — Thella Jones, 99, of Freer died Wednesday, July 10, 2013.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Jones was born May 5, 1914, in Borger to Henry and Rose Irwin. She was married to Ross Jones.
Survivors include a son Kenneth Jones of Freer; a brother, L.L. "Pint" Irwin of Texas; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
