*Obituary
Funeral services for James Ramsey Smith, 49, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Ed Brown and Sons Chapel of the Fountains. Bishop N.L. Dyer will officiate, assisted by Elder Y.L. Waldrop and Rev. Charles Broadhurst, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown and Sons funeral directors.
A resident of Borger since 1946, Smith died at 1 a.m. this morning at North Plains Hospital following a lengthy illness. Smith resided at 1706 Hemlock and was an employe of J.M. Huber Corporation.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a member of the Isom Masonic Lodge, 1232 and Borger Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Edna, of the home; one brother, Wilburn Smith of Seminole, Okla.; three sisters, Minnie Stephens, Austin; Thelme [sic] Malone, Alexandria, La.; and Annabell Rogers of Farmerville, La. Also surviving is his mother, Mrs. Louella Smith of Farmerville, La.
