Funeral services for Theron Huffman "Mike" Smith, 63, of Fritch, are pending with Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel of Amarillo.
A retired employee of Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America, Smith was born in Grantsville, W. Va. He had been a resident of Fritch 31 years and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. He died Tuesday in Northwest Texas Hospital, Amarillo.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Thelma; sister, Mrs. Shirley Hosey of Grantsville.

FRITCH - Mary Thelma Smith, 92, died Friday, May 12, in Amarillo.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the "Garden of Good Shepherd" at Westlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Ricky Griffin, pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Sanford, officiating. Arrangements are under the directions of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Mrs. Smith was born in Calhoun County, W. Va., and had been a Fritch resident since 1931, moving here from Louisiana.
She was a charter member of First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch. She was a member of the Sunshine Club and involved in numerous Arts and Crafts Clubs.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Smith, on June 24, 1969.
She is survived by one sister, Pauline Smith of Ohio and one niece.
