BORGER - H.R. "Smitty" Smith, 77, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2009.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Smith was born May 6, 1932. He married Dura Gardner on Nov. 2, 1974, in Clayton, N.M.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, J.R Smith; and a sister, Bessie Pruitt.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ricky Smith of Pocatello, Idaho, and Leldon Holliman of Montrose, Colo.; two daughters, Rhonda Nelson of Dewey, Okla., and Brenda Williams of Borger; a brother, Ray Smith; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
