DUMAS - Services for former Borger resident Willie M. Smith, 86, of 503 Willow, were at 2 p.m. today at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger with the Rev. Robert Lacewell, pastor of the Bunavista Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Mr. Smith died at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in Leisure Lodge.
A native of Mena, Ark., Mr. Smith moved to Borger in 1948, and had lived in Borger until recently. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Emily; three sons, William R. of Amarillo, James W. of Dumas, and Floyd C. of Stinnett; three brothers, Floyd of Ardmore, Okla., Hez of Antlers, Okla., Bob of Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Carter of Hugo, Okla., and Dessie Beason of Hugo, Okla.; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Emily Catherine Smith, 87, of 503 Willow, Dumas, died at 4:15 a.m. today in her home.
Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.
A native of Arkansas, she had lived in Borger several years before moving to Dumas. She was a housewife, and a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, William Richard Smith of Amarillo, James Wesley Smith of Dumas, and Floyd Clinton Smith of Stinnett; two brothers, Sterling Crews of Glenwood, Ark., Clint Crews of Arkansas; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
